We have had the idea to make a post once per week to talk about an artist that we find interesting, we wanted to start with a DJ and producer that we really like.
Klaudia Gawlas was born in Poland but grew up in Germany, she studied psychology in the United States, but she already knew that her passion was the music. After coming back to Germany again, she perfected her technique and style. After borrowing money to buy some record players, she paid her dues, practicing at the Open Turntables in Alcatraz, Landau. She got her first bookings in Bavaria. From there, she began to make a place for herself on the international scene, performing at festivals such as NatureOne, Awakenings, Tomorrowland or Time Warp.
She collaborated with Eric Sneo to launch the MOD label, but perhaps it was with the launch of Papillon in 2013 when she was recognized as one of the best in the world, other of her successful albums have been Zeitgeist (2013) and Vision ( 2016). I saw her for the first time in Granada in one of the editions of Circus Nation, a festival that we will talk about later in another post and I fell in love with her sessions always up and full of rhythm.
You can have a look of her tracks on:
