I had the opportunity to meet Juan-P Ballesteros a few years ago through a mutual friend, and his sets full of energy, fast changes and melodies dazzled me. Without a doubt another artist who deserves to occupy our article of the week.
This Madrilenian begins at an early age to browse behind the techno stage, from a very young age he has been influenced by renowned DJs in his area. Since them, this vinyl-loving Dj improves his quality and highly refined technique due to the knowledge he acquires in different venues in and around his town. Welcomed very well by the most demanding public, he always delights us with sessions of very select techno that make his quality and equalization stand out in our ears.
His career began in 2010, being a resident and promoter at Sala Omnia (Villalba) with David Olivero, sharing a booth with numerous artists on the electronic scene such as Cristian Varela, Tim Baker, Fátima Hajji, Bando, Pablo Guadalupe among others playing in mythical venues such as Escada (Valladolid), Sala Bokaroo (León) Tsunami (Zamora) El Desván (Ávila).
After a time away from music, he was signed by Anekoika Records, sharing the booth at that time with Techno greats such as Dj Pepo, Cesar Almena, Nuke among others, participating in reference number 8 of the Inspired Records label. He collaborated at Liquid Techno Club as a resident for their parties. He formed a group in Clip, surprising us with his exclusive podcasts, playing parties in Cuenca, Zamora and the entire community of Madrid, visiting venues such as Republik, Specka, La Riviera, Velvet, Penelope Lounge, The Búnker.
It was not until he met Adrián Oblanca, with whom he made his first collaboration, releasing two songs on a digital label: Puzzle pieces and Awita, from there he immersed himself in the long path of musical production, today he dedicates his time to produce, releasing tracks for Rattle Records, Synthesis Records, Khodem among others. He does not rule out releasing a label in the near future.
