Yibran Barakat, born in Granada and raised in Buenos Aires, also known as Zreik began his career in music production 15 years ago, influenced by artists such as James Ruskin, Tadeo, Jonas Koop, Audio Injeccion, Joey Beltram, among others.
In 2012 he formed the duet Daying & Barakat, a musical production project influenced by the sounds of Detroit and Chicago but performed with an experimental perspective and sounds, resulting in a refined underground creation.
From this joint work, 4 eps came to light, in vinyl format, among which the following stand out: El sueño de una teoría, in the label Knotweed Record and Decision (France) and Exploración Desconocida in the labe Axaminer Record (Czech Republic).
These two young but experienced DJs would then present their project in Live format on their European tour, their main reference being the Tresor room in Berlin, where their session had a special duration of 3 hours, sharing the night with DJ Surgeles and Tadeo.
The dark and mental Techno that Zreik defends has led him to share a booth with artists such as Merino, Mekas, Udolph, Philippe Petit, among others.
With the desire always to get to know his land and discover the electronic environment in his native Granada, in 2019 he again undertakes the journey of crossing the pond and visiting his beloved city.
It will not take long for him to get in touch with DJs and producers, such as the guys from T Label (Le Coné, CBLR) who will praise his work and make him part of the collective, playing in clubs like Moonback and Stereo Club, where an audience impressed with what who listens, will ask who is that unknown dj that impacts so much.
It was on the night of June 8, 2019 when he consecrated himself as a dj in the city where he was born, saying goodbye to the season of the well-known Vortex parties, sharing the booth with the great master Zadig at Industrial Copera, thus seeing his great dream come true, DJing in one of the best venues on the national scene in Spain.
